Health & Safety
Watershed has a reputation for being a leader in health and safety practices and our approach to safety is summed up by the phrase ‘Be Safe. Think it through’. We take our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 seriously and are committed to overseeing, monitoring, and measuring safe work practices for our clients. By establishing a systematic approach to health and safety, both within our organisation and externally, Watershed has become a front runner in this area.
We prioritise health and safety, keeping up-to-date with regulations and guidelines. We are members of SiteSafe and subscribe to WorkSafe NZ, FMANZ and other industry sources for updates, sharing of knowledge and promoting safe practices.
Watershed chooses contractors based on their proven experience, qualifications and competency. We offer fortnightly site inspections to check contractor workplace practices, and our staff are trained in hazard management and are skilled in reviewing and monitoring workplace documentation and practices.
As a response to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 that holds PCBUs (Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking) accountable for employee health and safety, Watershed provides clients with an extensive Health and Safety package.
In essence, Watershed has earned recognition for its outstanding health and safety track record, which is a result of its focus on implementing effective processes and procedures. As for our approach to health and safety in the future, the company’s persistent philosophy and message to the industry will continue to be “Be Safe. Think it Through.”
