In 2020, Watershed began the design process of the Glendowie College Hammer Block Learning Centre by facilitating the engagement of DLM Architects on behalf of the college.
The project was to convert two science labs and multiple office and resource spaces into two shared learning areas (classrooms) that opens onto a new covered deck with large doors and four office/meeting rooms for private learning areas to be used by the Learning Support Coordinators.
The project quickly grew to include the dated boys’ and girls’ toilets at the back of the block. The toilet blocks were converted into 12 single toilets each with external access from a new deck. Watershed carried out all project management related tasks during design and construction. Practical Completion was reached on 2 November 2022 for $1.46m which was well within the budget.
