Exciting updates

imagesTo All of Our Clients | A very big THANK YOU…

The start of 2018 has once again surprised us with a number of new clients and new engagements across New Zealand. We are proud and humbled by the continued feedback and support from our existing clients who continue to be our best promotors.

Employment | We’ve got some new staff…images

We are super pleased to have Jason Mak join our Project Management team. Jason has strong foundations in the building and energy sectors. He has worked with a few companies including Ernst & Young (Advisory) and Accenture back in Kuala Lumpur.

Kate Vaskova is a new Property & Project Consultant. She is based in Kerikeri and carries experience in contract management, with a focus on BWOF. Kate will be assisting on asset management and projects for our Northland client base.

Yvette joins the Watershed team with a broad administration background from numerous years working in the Projects arena. This, coupled with a National Diploma in Business, results in an effective and efficient administrator.

We are awaiting the arrival of a further two new staff…. Scott Dufty as a welcome addition to the Property Team and Claudia Cairns joins our administration team.

Sub-Offices | We’ve expanded our reach…

Plans to progress operations in Dunedin and Tauranga were initiated by client need, and opportunities we could see on the horizon, and we’re pleased to say that both branches are performing well, with a new client base developing. With Kate being based in Kerikeri we hope to provide extra service to new and existing clients in Northland.

UnknownFollowing the Rules | New Health & Safety legislation…

We’ve spent some time gearing up for the H&S legislation change and working with our clients to help us all understand the implications and tasks. As part of this, we are using a tablet based “app”, along with the drone, and revisiting our entire internal and external processes.

Whilst we are confident we have been “getting it right”, the legislative changes are a good time to revisit what we do and how we do it. Critically we ensure H&S is front and centre in our decision-making, and not just an add-on to tick the boxes.

Our focus is set on being the industry leaders, being innovative and proactive.

Eagle Eye | Our very own drone…images-1

We are adopting some new technology to help us with our Condition Assessments and project delivery, with the addition of a video and photograph capable drone. This means we can inspect roofs and other building issues without using a ladder, or third party, and also get some great shots of our client’s sites and buildings.

Our drone is getting plenty of use inspecting our clients buildings, taking shots of entire properties and generally being useful. Of course its also quite a bit of fun to use.

Moving with the Times | iPad’s…

We’re also investing in new software which has been designed from the ground up with a modern touch based interface that can support our company’s data collection requirements. This technology will give our client’s confidence in ensuring compliance- particularly around new Health and Safety legislation, but also Condition Assessments, 10 Year Plans, and Asset Management.

sponsorship-logoNorthcote College | Sponsorship…

Northcote College again organised the “Affair of the Heart” Art Exhibition. This is an amazing art exhibition and sale and the Art Committee are already searching the country to find interesting work, giving access to a wide variety of high quality original artwork. Watershed is proud to be a sponsor of this event in support of the College.

Sacred Heart College | Sponsorship…

Every year, Sacred Heart College seeks community support to help ensure that the College remains a leading boys’ school in New Zealand. Watershed is proud to be a Silver sponsor, assisting in enabling the implementation of constant improvements and additions to the College campus. We have had a long-standing relationship to the College and we are pleased that we can contribute.

Wesley College | Scholarship…

Watershed is delighted to provide an annual scholarship to a boarder, to support a well-rounded and committed student who, due to family financial circumstances, would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend Wesley College. We are honoured to be part of furthering their education as well as expanding their social responsibility and community service footprint in the world.

Baradene College Art Show | Sponsorship…

Since 2007, we have been proud to be an annual sponsor of the Baradene Art Show. Through the benevolence of sponsors, talented artists and a large number of helpers who good-heartedly give their time, passion and energy….This major fundraiser offers a great opportunity to view and purchase art in a social setting whilst supporting the College.
