Ruth Edgar Senior Property Manager - Education

Ruth graduated the University of Auckland in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Education she then worked a number of years teaching before taking time at home to raise her four children.

Ruth has experience in the building industry going right back to her teenage years. As a youth she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Ireland and travelled to Namibia to build schools, gaining solid practical knowledge and experience which helped her find her way into the Building Industry as a career.

Ruth found her way into New Zealand’s residential building industry where she has worked as a maintenance project coordinator assisting landlords and property managers to upgrade rental properties to meet the healthy homes standard. She went on to develop her project management skills as a renovation project manager delivering primarily kitchen, bathroom and home renovations.

When Ruth is not working she can be found walking the boards at any number of Auckland’s community theatres. She has a passion for theatre which she enjoys sharing with her children and the wider community. Ruth loves nothing more than getting on board in community theatre productions from Acting to Directing or Production coordination right down to painting the set artwork.
