Watershed were engaged by Matamata-Piako District Council to write operational procedures for their new Te Aroha Events Centre.

Prior to the facility opening, we were engaged to write a Management Plan for the Centre, this was a Resource Consent requirement. This plan discussed parking management requirements as well as the management of patrons, noise and bookings.

In conjunction with this, we also worked with the Council to work through how the facility would be operated. Meetings with the Council enabled us to understand their desired operational methods for operating the facility on a day to day basis. Once these methods were established, we were able to write a site-specific operations manual for the facility which staff and user groups could refer to. The chapters within this manual included; booking procedures, facility expectations, health and safety plans, emergency action plans and facility details and operations.
