Waiheke Island does not have a public swimming pool and for over 20 years the Island community has been requesting the development of a year round swimming pool complex. The Waiheke Local Board and Community Policy and Planning Group of Auckland Council commissioned an initial feasibility study to understand the logistics and specialist requirements for a Swimming Pool on Waiheke Island.

Our study included a review of potential locations for future consideration if an aquatic facility is progressed, along with the operational implications of public swimming pool on the Island.
